Pawley's Island

Mom and the boys left for Pawley's Island last Saturday. It took us about 8 hours - and only three stops! Here are Andy and Jake eating lunch at the South Carolina Welcome Center!




Smickey is a Gainer family friend from way back - Papa was his football coach. He fixes the whole clan a delicious dinner everytime we come to visit.

Some of the Gainer kids with Mama - Lindsay, Jake, Andy, Kelly, Mama and Katie. Robbie is the only one who couldn't be there and we missed him! And yes, Jake is soaking wet from a spill in the Atlantic.

Fishing with Uncle Mike, Hank and Grady! That turned a little ugly when Grady decided to bite the head off of a fish Uncle Mike caught! Andy caught a stingray - we didn't let Grady near that!

Here are the Winter Park and Charlotte Gainers - Lindsay, Jake, Andy, David, Katie, Laura and Nick. Thank you so much for a fun week - we love you all!

Happy Birthday Papa!

Next week would have been Papa's birthday and we'll be in his favorite place - South Carolina - and thinking about him. Happy Birthday in heaven - we miss you!

Lazy Days of Summer

So this has been summertime for the Gainer boys - Andy does what he seems to do best these days, and Jake and Harlan pass the time waiting to have someone to do something with! P.S. We miss you Lindsay!

Our big 40 pound baby is scared to death of thunderstorms - not a good thing in Central Florida! His way of coping is to jump into dad's lap when it starts. Here he is during today's storm!
