Today we went to visit the Gainer childrens former babysitter Stacey and her baby, Sophia. She is such a cutie!

Mrs. Gainer's Classroom

I have a new classroom this year and I love it! I went from no storage to tons of it - a dream come true. Here are a few pics - don't mind the bags of school supplies - I should have taken the pictures before the kids came today. If you look really closely, you can spot Mrs. H-rod - she's there hard at work! I also have a class of perfect students so I can't wait for Monday!

Back To School

Here's Mrs. Gainer and her students for the upcoming year! Not really, it just looks that way. Not only am I old enough to be everyone's mom, I look like it because I'm so much taller! I love my co-workers - they are the best teachers and friends you could ask for - not a "mean girl" in the bunch!

Happy Anniversary

Today is our 19th Anniversary - we both have a lot less hair and a bit more weight!

For my class website, I wanted to put a (current) family picture. We've gone a whole summer meaning to take a picture of the 5 of us together with no luck. We either have no camera when we're all together (which doesn't seem to be very often) or no one to take our picture - or someone is dressed inappropriately. Lindsay decided that we would just have to put a picture of me on there - but my school picture was way too ugly - so she was my official photographer! Thanks Lindsay - I guess it will have to do!

Pawley's Island

Mom and the boys left for Pawley's Island last Saturday. It took us about 8 hours - and only three stops! Here are Andy and Jake eating lunch at the South Carolina Welcome Center!




Smickey is a Gainer family friend from way back - Papa was his football coach. He fixes the whole clan a delicious dinner everytime we come to visit.

Fishing with Uncle Mike, Hank and Grady! That turned a little ugly when Grady decided to bite the head off of a fish Uncle Mike caught! Andy caught a stingray - we didn't let Grady near that!
