Dunk for Downs

Last week our school held "Dunk for Downs" to raise money for the Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida. The children brought in a dollar for the chance to dunk their teacher. I was amazed at the arms my students had - most of them had fantastic aim. Over $1200.00 was raised and will be given in Emerson's honor at the Buddy Walk next week.

Super Cute New Classroom!

It's amazing how all the folks I work with manage to turn a pile of furniture and boxes in the center of the room into this in less than two weeks! School starts Monday and I LOVE my new classroom (and kids!)

Old Building/New Portable!

Today we went to check out Mom's new portable and it was wonderful! Much bigger than we thought before and lots of windows! That's going to be a nice change:) Lindsay stuck the camera in the old building as we were walking out and snapped some shots of just a big huge opening - the walls are all down!

Our elementary school is going to be gutted and totally remodeled over the next year. Today Mrs. Gainer and her three alumni attended a "Good-bye" pizza party to say farewell to our wonderful school with so many wonderful memories! I can't wait to see the new building when it is finished - and my co-workers and I are looking forward to the next year in our fantastic portables!

Lindsay's New Friend

Lindsay has a friend whose job it is to take care of some horses that are boarded near our house. They've been hanging out each day after Driver's Ed taking care of and riding the horses. Here is a picture of Lindsay and two of her new friends!

Happy Father's Day

We had a wonderful Father's Day. Daddy played a round of golf, Grandpa came to have dinner with us and we ended the day in our giant jacuzzi! It's not really a jacuzzi, just the temperature of one these days - nice and warm!
